Why do you want to go on this Mission Trip to Mexico?

What previous missions experience do you have?

I have no previous missions experience.

What is your salvation testimony? 

I was a young man still in the army, and didn’t realize that I had slipped into a state of depression, which led to a severe alcohol problem. I had a wife and son at home who never got to see me because I would avoid them by going fishing and drinking until after the sun went down every day after work one day my wife stopped me before I left to go fishing and asked me to please call my sister because she was the only person who could ever really get through to me. I remember calling and asking her what I needed to do and her immediate response was that I needed to go and find a place where I could be alone and cry out to God to forgive me. She told me to not dare approach him on my knees because I’m not worthy. I went into my closet and shut the door and lay down on my face with my hands above my head and immediately begin to weep uncontrollably and cry out to God, I remember opening the door to come out of the closet and into my bedroom, where the sun was shining brighter through the window than I had ever seen it before. This was in 2013. I was later baptized that same year.

I am happily and gratefully married to my beautiful wife Leah. We have 5 beautiful children and one amazing granddaughter!
