Children's Director
Purpose: To lead, equip, and provide the chief vision and oversight to the Children’s Ministry at The Gathering (birth - 5th grade.)
Responsibilities:
- Develop a clearly defined vision and strategy for discipleship within the children’s ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision in ministry of The Gathering Community Church.
- Lead, recruit, train, and develop committed and gifted volunteers that operate within their area of strengths.
- Regularly communicate with the overseeing staff member concerning the functions, needs, and plans of the children’s ministry.
- Be an advocate for connecting with parents and equipping them to be the leader of their child’s spiritual development.
- Provide oversight, planning, and scheduling for all aspects of children’s ministry programming including Sunday morning nursery volunteers, children’s church, Wednesday night service, and Celebrate Recovery on Friday nights.
- Plan and develop curriculum for all ages in conjunction with staff members.
- Be an example for those who attend The Gathering Community Church by encompassing our covenant values and carrying out our mission.
