I want to go on this mission trip because I want to be an encouragement to both our church team and those in Mexico we meet. I believe the local church can be more mission minded, pray for people and places we may never go, by going on a mission trip. God also often confirms a calling on a life through these efforts.

While living in Macon, Georgia, I was a spiritually curious thirsty child, so when at age 10 the true gospel was finally explained in simple terms, I gave as much of myself to Jesus as I understood. I was immersion  baptized some years later, in New Mexico, since my church of my youth practiced infant baptism.

I’m looking forward to bonding with the mission group, encouraging each member, helping with VBS, building a home for a family, praying with and for others.

I am 66 years old. I have been married to Craig Dawson almost 2 years. I believe God prepared me for my current life. In a former marriage, I birthed and reared 6 children. Homeschooling was a true calling and privilege. My adult children live near and far away. I have 7 grandchildren. Craig and I enjoy traveling, waterfalls, caverns, and rollercoasters. We are blessed to be year round volunteers with Samaritans Purse, Operation Christmas Child. We are also involved in several ministries at The Gathering, including visiting folks in the hospital when we are able.
