I want to go on this Mission Trip to Mexico because I was part of the team that went the previous year & said I wanted to come back. When our Mission Team put together this trip I wanted to jump on the opportunity because I saw just how amazing it was to witness God working in the lives of the people in Ensenada but also how He uses us in a variety of ways to glorify His kingdom! I have always felt a call to GO so whenever the opportunity arises I certainly want to join God wherever He is working.

Last year was my first out of country mission trip to Mexico, after returning home I stepped into the Missions ministry/outreach position at our Church. Since then I have done local missions like helping at food pantries & supporting our 1st responders. My most recent mission took me up to Western North Carolina for a day trip to distribute Bibles to those who were greatly affected by hurricane Helene.

I was saved in 2014 while helping my mother in law's friend who runs a home for women seeking shelter from either homelessness or abusive relationships. I honestly was just trying to get experience as I was getting my degree to become a social worker so figured being the "house parents" helped Ms. Carol but also helped me. It was Ms. Carol who shared what Jesus did for her, she shared similar life events as myself and I could just see joy & peace on her face even in the midst of what she had going on at the time. I genuinely wanted to experience that since I had so much brokenness & hurt in my life. I knew that I was a sinner in need of a savior & it was at her little round glass table that I accepted Christ to be my Lord & Savior, that was the day my life changed! The following year God showed up & showed out (He still does because He is just that amazing of a Father) but in 2015 in Alaska with Operation Heal our Patriots I was baptized in Lake Clark....the water was 40 degrees so talk about memorable! God has been SO good since then but even before then He was SO good & ever so gently calling me to Him, it is only now since having an intimate relationship with Him that I realized what He had been doing my whole life!

A LOT! Relationships & bonds that will be built with the beautiful people of Ensenada & our team, witnessing the change in the folks who have never been on a mission trip & God work through them, touching base with the amazing people who I met last time & getting to love on them in person & continued growth in my walk with God.

A short Bio about myself & my family... I am married to my amazing husband Josh going on 15 years & together we have a beautiful 9 year old daughter. We also have 2 dogs, 3 cats & 3 gerbils so it's pretty lively in our house. I grew up in Southern California. It was meeting my husband who brought me to the south & I am grateful to be living in these beautiful mountains. Our family loves to have game nights & we especially love having folks from our small group over! I also homeschool our daughter while my husband is on the road driving & Mexican food is a staple in this household! We are just your typical family, nothing special about us except Jesus & we just seek to love those who come across our path.

Please pray for Godly wisdom & that I would continue to keep my eyes open to see where God is working & join Him. Also, pray for clarity of mind so that it won't get cluttered with the business of life & leave out the most important part which is my close relationship with God.
