Why do you want to go on this Mission Trip to Mexico?

I enjoy serving and ministering. Realizing God has things to show me, and the opportunity to be a blessing to others.

What previous missions experience do you have?

Just returned from my first out of the country mission trip to Delicias Mexico. While there I participated in helping set up outreaches for the children in the area. Also involved in street evangelism and ministering at the local hospital praying for patients and their families.

What is your salvation testimony?

Grew up in church, walked the aisle at age 6, but I never had a peace about my faith, It wasn't until I was 21 years old at church one day that The Holy Spirit spoke to me to settle my position in Christ. I was baptized at the next service.

What are you most looking forward to about this mission trip?

Really, again, the opportunity to serve, in whatever capacity that may be. To encourage others, develop relationships with the team as well as those we minister to. Most of all, hopefully show Jesus to a lost and dying world.

A little about me and my family

Grew up and spent the majority of my life living in Florida. Worked as a letter carrier for USPS for 32 years, prior to that I was a correctional officer for just under four years. Upon retirement, I fulfilled a lifelong dream to leave Florida for the mountains, and settled near Knoxville, TN.

My wife, a precious lady who truly loved Jesus, passed away after 40 years together from dementia. I prayed God would guide me in the next steps of my life and he richly blessed me with Louise, who had also come out of a long term marriage. Together we are committed to spending whatever time we have left being about our Father's business, seeking a deeper relationship with our Lord, with each other, and serving others.

Ways that you can specifically pray for me

That we would allow God to use us as willing vessels to further His Kingdom. That our health would hold up (we both got sick in Mexico along with half the mission team). That we would grow a lasting bond with those we serve with and minister to.

In Acts 13:3 prayer and fasting came before the Church sent Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey. I am asking you all to pray fervently for this missions trip.
